Data Deletion Request

Last updated: August 11, 2026

DoorCountyGo works without an account, so there is no profile to close. This page explains exactly what is stored, and how to have it removed.

What we store

Anonymous usage data. When you open a screen or tap a feature, the app records the event against a randomly generated device identifier. That identifier is created on your phone and is not linked to your name, email, phone number, or any account. It tells us that a device opened a listing, not that you did.

A notification token. Only if you turned notifications on. It lets us send a push to your device and nothing else.

Anything you sent us. If you submitted a business listing, a photo, or a correction, we hold what you sent along with the name and email you provided on that form.

How to request deletion

Email feedback@doorcountygo.com with the subject Data deletion request. We reply within 30 days.

For something you submitted — a listing, a photo, a correction — tell us the email address you used on the form. That is enough for us to find it and delete it, along with any photos you uploaded.

For usage data and the notification token — these are tied to the random device identifier rather than to you, so we need that identifier to find the right rows. Email us and we will tell you where to find it in your version of the app and confirm once the records are gone.

The fastest way to stop data being collected

Deleting the app removes the device identifier, your favorites, and your saved plans from your phone. Nothing further is sent from that point on. The events already recorded stay on our side until you ask us to remove them, which is what the email above is for.

If you only want notifications to stop, turning them off in your phone's settings is enough — no email needed.

What we cannot delete

Records we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons, and anonymous aggregate counts that no longer identify any device, may remain. These cannot be traced back to you.
